Eleven months ago the Bulls lost to the Bucks at the United Center
93-92 after having a 27-point lead on them. I know this because I was there,
and that was the worst game the Bulls have ever played against the Bucks that I
can think of in recent years. Tonight was a different story.
Chicago beat Milwaukee 105-84 with six players scoring
points in the double digits. Derrick Rose recorded 24 points, four assists and
three rebounds—there aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe the
utter joy I feel about his return and how he’s playing thus far. Long story
short, I cannot wait for the regular season to start. Carlos Boozer had a
double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, Luol Deng had 15 points, Mike
Dunleavy had 12 points, Taj Gibson had 10 points and off-the-bench Marquis
Teague had 12 points. The Bulls are currently undefeated 6-0 in the preseason,
which is the opposite of the Bucks who are 0-5. The Bulls shot 42% for field
goals, 38% for three-pointers and 84% for free throws unlike the struggling
Bucks who shot 38% for field goals, 31% for three-pointers and only 65% for
free throws.
I couldn't help but think of Rose's buzzer beater against the Bucks from March 2012 when I was watching tonight. THAT was a great game :) The Bulls will visit Kevin Durant and the rest of Oklahoma City on Wednesday for their second-to-last preseason game.
