2012: 10 NBA Veterans Part 2 (6-10)

Last post I talked about five of the top ten NBA vets for 2012. Here are the rest:

Derek Fisher: Going into his 17th season, but as a part of Oklahoma City Thunder, Derrick Fisher is the only player other than Kobe in the NBA to have five championships under his belt. Fisher was drafted to the NBA in 1996, selected by the Lakers, where he played until 2004. Fisher went on to play for the Golden State Warriors from 2004-2006, Utah Jazz from 2006-2007, back to the Lakers from 2007-2012 and was traded to the Thunder in March of this year.

Ben Wallace: Although 2011-12 season is supposedly his 16th and final one, Ben Wallace deserves to be mentioned. After joining the NBA in 1996, Wallace played on many teams including the Washington Wizards (1996-1999), Orland Magic (1999-2000), Chicago Bulls (2006-2008), Cleveland Cavaliers (2008-2009) and Detroit Pistons (2000-2006, 2009-2012). While playing with the Pistons, Wallace was the Blocks Champion in 2002, Rebounding Champion in 2002 and 2003, 4× Defensive Player of the Year (2002-2003, 2005-2006), 4× All-Star (2003-2006) and NBA Champion in 2004. Although Wallace is not known to be a successful scorer, he certainly is acknowledged for his great rebounding and shot blocking skills.

Ray Allen: Going into his 17th season, but under the Miami Heat this time around, Ray Allen is one of the most accurate three-point and free throw shooters in NBA history. In 1996, Allen started his pro career when he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks and played in Milwaukee until 2003. He then played for the Seattle Supersonics (now known as Oklahoma City Thunder) from 2003-2007, Boston Celtics from 2007-2012 and was picked up by the Heat this year. Allen was the Three-Point Shootout Champion in 2001, 10× All-Star (2000-2002, 2004-2009, 2011), NBA Champion in 2008 and is currently the all-time leader in three-pointers made.

Tim Duncan: Going into his 16th season with the San Antonio Spurs, Tim Duncan has had quite an impressive career. He was the Rookie of the Year in 1997, 13× All-Star (1998, 2000-2011), 2× MVP, 3× Finals MVP and 4× NBA Champion. If that doesn't scream baller, I don't know what does. He is the only player in NBA history to be selected to both All-NBA and All-Defensive Teams during each of his first 13 seasons.

Kevin Garnett: Going into his 18th season and sixth year with the Boston Celtics, Kevin Garnett started his pro career in 1995 and became the first NBA player to be drafted directly out of high school in 20 years. Garnett was the All-Star MVP in 2003, NBA MVP in 2004, 4× Rebounding Champion (2004-2007), Defensive Player of the Year in 2008, 14× All-Star (1997-1998, 2000-2011) and NBA Champion in 2008.

Who do you think are the best veterans currently playing in the NBA?
